What we believe
The Sabbath day of the Lord JESUS CHRIST
actually consists of three 'marks' or 'signs.' 1.) Creation
2.) Sanctification 3.) Redemption
Creation. The Lord Jesus blessed and
sanctified that day at Eden [Genesis 2:1-3] before sin entered this
earth and is therefore not Mosaic but was part of the Ten Commandments
given to Moses [Exodus 20:8-12].
Sanctification. GOD says that the Seventh-day Sabbath is His sign
of sanctification or holiness "Morever also I gave them My
Sabbath, to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know
that I am the Lord that sanctify them."--Ezekiel 20:12.
Note that this Lord here is the Lord Jesus, the Lord of Lords and that
He came to break down the middle wall of partition so that there is
neither Jew nor Gentile and that we are now all one in the New
Testament.
Redemption. Jesus re-creates a new heart in every born again Believer
and asks us to be Lord of all or not Lord at all.
Jesus saves us from sin and not in sin.
"And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His
name JESUS, for He will
save His people from their sins."
Matthew 1:21. This should be our first
concern
and He has done it in two ways: 1.) At the cross He paid the price
for our sins
and purchased our pardon. 2.) He gives us power to become
the Sons and
Daughters of God now by inviting God through His Son Jesus
Christ and His Holy
Spirit into our hearts and lives. "But as many
as received Him, to them He gave the
right to become children of
God, to those who believe in His name: (13) who were
born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of
God."
John 1:12,13.
And
so we become born again Believers through the blood of Jesus and His power
to save.
Now it remains to identify what sin is!
"For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God,
but the doers of the law
will be justified." Romans 2:13."Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be
justified in His
sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." Romans 3:20.
"Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the
contrary, we
establish the law." Romans 3:31.
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the
contrary, I would
not have known sin except through the law. For I would
not have known
covetousness unless the law had said, 'You shall not
covet'." Romans 7:7.
"Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is
lawlessness." 1 John 3:4.
